Hi, I'm Mia!

I'm 14 and (unfortunately) still in high school. I live in Sydney, Australia, with my family and 2 dogs, and love cooking, baking, sewing and photography.

I've always loved cooking and baking, and I started this blog in January 2012 as a place to share my thoughts and experiences with food, as well as tidbits of my life along the way.

I've been pescetarian for almost 3 years, and animal crualty is something I feel very strongly about. I have no problem with people who do choose to eat meat, but would always recommend choosing free range and/or organic where possible.

Since I'm still in high school, my posting tends to get somewhat erratic when it comes to exams and whatnot. Please forgive me, and know that I'd much rather be blogging than studying!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading and would love to hear what you think about any of my posts, so please feel free to leave a comment and I'll try to reply :)

  1. Hi Mia & Parents:
I am a food journalist/cookbook author/chef and my next book for a major American publisher is about remarkable kids in the food world. These kids can be cooks, activists, growers, evangelists--you name it. The book will feature kids from all walks of life: varied ethnicities, religions, social status, affluence levels and regions of the country with a great food story to tell. I found your blog and thought you might be a good fit--with your parents permission. The book is structured so that I profile the young chef and offer a recipe from him or her.
I am happy to forward you and your parents my professional bio if you are interested. You can email me at raminsnewbook@gmail.com

Why hello there! If you liked or disliked this post or just want to say 'hi', feel free to leave a comment. I love getting comments- it's nice to know that someone out there is actually reading what I have to say, and they're really motivating!
